Highway 101 – Print

“Highway 101” is part of the “California Coastal Series”. The series was inspired by my recent travels back to San Diego, California, the city I called home between 2008 – 2017. Stylistically influenced by the travel poster, I’ve created graphic inspired digital art of my favourite coastal places I spent time in. “Highway 101” captures the famous Encinitas sign which spans the historical South Coast Highway 101 in main street Encinitas. It is one of the most iconic signs in all of San Diego! Built in 1928 La Paloma Theatre is a historic landmark in beautiful Encinitas, California which continues to present mainstream and art house cinema. Whilst the main street has a surf city feel, it’s awesome to walk along the street which is filled with coffee cafes, dining, art galleries and shopping experiences.

Product Care

Print Care:

  • Keep print protected in plastic sleeve until ready to frame.
  • To flatten print – keep in protective sleeve at all times. Carefully use mailing tube to reverse roll print. Or simply place print under books for a few days before framing.
  • Avoid excessive handling, or direct contact with pigment.

Canvas Care:

  • Avoid direct sunlight
  • Dust gently with a lint free cloth
  • Avoid excessive handling

Book Care:

  • Wipe cover with damp cloth
  • Read often
  • Store on your favourite book shelf
